Ocean Flagships

OCEAN FLAGSHIPS is a non-profit organization on a mission for the blue transition. We wish to explore, inspire and promote innovation for the ocean. With our sailing headquarters as the first flagship for the blue transition, we set out on expeditions to explore new solutions and new opportunities. Ashore, we showcase and demonstrate maritime and ocean-based innovations and technologies – inspiring more people to take part in the blue transition. By promoting sustainable solutions and supporting the development of new business cases, we aim to create growth that is both economically and environmentally sustainable Our vision is to build a global network of flagships and stakeholders who can accelerate the blue transition. With strong support from experts and key stakeholders, we have demonstrated a significant potential in innovation and entrepreneurship. However, this quest requires far greater focus and new ways of thinking than we have seen so far. That is why Ocean Flagships’ are needed – as catalysts for collaboration and action. OCEAN FLAGSHIPS is a fast-growing non-profit organization that has gained more than 120 members in just three months. The headquarters is based in the port of Elsinore, but OCEAN FLAGSHIPS will drive activities both nationwide and internationally. With a wide range of partners and strong support from businesses, experts, and knowledge institutions, the initiative has quickly built momentum. With more than 50 members in its expert-panel and advisory board, every effort is grounded in solid expertise and a strong cross-sector network. OCEAN FLAGSHIPS is already recognized as one of the key players in Denmark in the development of maritime and ocean-based entrepreneurship – with the wind truly in its sails.
