OneMusic Australia is a joint initiative between APRA AMCOS and PPCA, just like a duet. The two Australian music bodies have come together to give you easy legal access to all their works, sound recordings and music videos. Now you'll pay one licence, in one place. We’ve done the hard work for you so our licence allows you to use virtually any commercially released music from anywhere around the world. We think our bundled licence offers by far the best value for your money. Our licence gives you:> Permission to use the musical works, sound recordings and music videos of more than two million music creators worldwide.> Permission to use protected sound recordings and music videos.> Protection from being taken to court under the Copyright Act 1968 for using unlicensed music in your business. OneMusic protects the value of copyright for both the copyright in the original music and lyrics, and the copyright in the recording of that music as well as music videos. The copyright in the music and lyrics is owned by APRA AMCOS’ members and affiliate members of other rights management organisations across the world. The copyright in the sound recording and music videos – owned by the record company and the recording artist - is owned by PPCA and ARIA’s licensors and affiliate members of other rights management organisations. There can be many recordings of an original song. Eleanor Rigby was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and the Beatles recorded the song, but it has been re-recorded more than 130 times by various artists and record companies.
