Maton Guitars
Founded in Melbourne in 1946 by Bill May, the name Maton is derived from a combination of “May” and “Tone”. It is still a family owned Australian company now operated by Linda & Neville Kitchen (Bill May’s daughter and son in law). Bill May a musician and woodwork teacher built his first guitar at the age of 17 in 1936 (the guitar hangs in the showroom to this day). His older brother Reg joined him in March 1946 and the company was born. Today we pride ourselves in the discovery and promotion of Australian tone-woods and have mastered the use of sustainable alternatives to traditional timbers, lighting the way for guitar manufacturers all over the world. We ensure our team of craftsmen are provided with the very best materials & parts to ensure that your guitar reflects quality in build & tone. On stage, in the studio or in the bedroom, you carry with you an instrument far greater than the sum of its parts. A Maton guitar is much more than just timber and strings. Kawai Australia
The piano of choice for professional artists, concert halls, conservatoriums and homes around the world. Kawai - The Future of the Piano. Our Story: It was nearly a century ago in Japan that an obscure medical instrument technician was struggling alone to build an upright piano from imported parts. The imaginative spirit of Koichi Kawai, our founder, laid an ambitious foundation for all who would follow, and is the primary reason why the name Kawai has been synonymous with innovation since 1927. Always searching for new materials and technologies that can improve the tone, touch, stability or durability of a piano, Kawai has pioneered many of the piano industry’s most compelling and beneficial innovations, including aluminium action rails, slow-close fallboards, hard finish music desks and the revolutionary use of ABS composites and carbon fibre in piano actions. The company’s passion for innovation also extends to electronics where Kawai created the industry’s first digital pianos with real wooden keys, the first action designs that re-create the natural movement and motion of an acoustic piano action, the first built-in CD recorders and the first affordable digital pianos with real wooden soundboards. In its never-ending quest to elevate the art of instrumental craftsmanship, Kawai continues to fulfil its calling as the future of the piano.

Ppca
Imagine a world without music… PPCA (the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia) is a national, non-government, non-profit music licensing company which represents the interests of record companies and Australian recording artists. PPCA was formed in 1969, and grants blanket licences for the broadcast, communication and public performance of recorded music and music videos. By collecting licence fees and passing them on to the people who provide the music in our lives, we're not only protecting their rights and ensuring a fair return to them, we're making sure that they can continue to make music for us all to enjoy. You could get individual sound recording licences from each of the record companies whose protected recordings you want to play. But there is an easier way to make sure you have the licences you need. PPCA's comprehensive ‘blanket’ licence covers the playing in public of original recordings released by more than 1500 PPCA licensor record labels, including the major labels EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner. A PPCA licence covers all recordings from the catalogues of over 20 record labels controlled by our licensors. This means that a PPCA licence will cover just about every original sound recording you are likely to play in your business - an easy, cost effective way for you to secure your sound recording licence and enjoy the benefits to your business that music delivers. Add because we are a non-profit organisation, your licence fees are distributed directly to the sound recording copyright holders (after administration expenses), registered Australian recording artists, and the PPCA Performers Trust Foundation. We currently license more than venues Australia-wide, including clubs, hotels, bars, restaurants, fitness centres, cafes, shops, halls and dance studios, as well as radio and television stations.
