L’association européenne Open Internet Project (OIP) a été fondée en mai 2014 par plusieurs entreprises du numérique (Axel Springer, le GESTE, LeGuide.com, Synhorcat GNI, etc.) avec l’objectif de combattre les abus de position dominante ainsi que toutes les atteintes à une concurrence loyale sur le marché numérique européen. Dans cette perspective, l’OIP s’est donné pour but d’obtenir la garantie du maintien d’un environnement concurrentiel sain et équilibré dans lequel des champions français et européens pourront naitre et se développer sans craindre des abus de position dominante de la part des plateformes structurantes du marché.
