OutdoorGearCoach is a UK based an independent not for profit organisation, with contributing editors in USA and Alpine Europe. We produce and publish books about how outdoor products and clothing function and develop related training. Our eBook book and training system is designed to support, help and stimulate everyone in the outdoor community, whether you are an outdoor activist, a customer-facing person helping and advising others, or an outdoor instruction/ guiding professional.Our materials will help all keen outdoor activists, who may be staff who are customer-facing or outdoor instruction professionals or outdoors people without prior garment or equipment knowledge. Our international editorial team and wide outdoor industry consultation ensures our materials are interesting, informative and unbiased. Our first book is Keeping Dry and Staying Warm. It relates what you are wearing to what you are doing, to improve understanding of what to wear, what to combine, why fit matters for mountain activities. It differs from conventional training manuals because it is multidimensional, multi activity and international. We provide a comprehensive review of the changing rules of layering. There has been extensive consultation across all elements of the outdoor industry with brands retailers and outdoor professionals to ensure that the content is: interesting, informative, and unbiased.
