Paddle Method

My name is Tim Sanford, and I teach people to explore the ocean via Stand Up Paddleboard. After a lifetime of boating, my first time on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) I couldn’t believe how easy, how accessible, it became for me to get on the ocean and feel that connection to the water. I believe stand up paddle boarding is the perfect vehicle (vessel) for making the most of living in Los Angeles and for overall health and wellness. Paddle Method is LA's first choice for SUP instruction for individual and group lessons, and tours. Our primary lessons cover the three most important skills needed to paddle confidently in SoCal and beyond - 1. marina maneuvers, 2. wind and fitness, and 3. wave timing and catching classes. People of any background can go from first-timer to catching waves and paddle surfing and everything in between. Our group lessons and team building provide the perfect opportunity to bond with your crew and learn a life skill that can take you to the next level on and off the water. Paddle Method is LA’s first accredited standup paddle school. Our mission was to provide SUP lessons, workouts, and paddle tours to all who want to learn. Our goal was to create an opportunity that people of all athletic abilities and water experience could get on the water, paddle, connect, and explore the waterways of Los Angeles.
