Palestinian Scout Association

Palestinian Scout Movement - It was Founded in the 4th of January 1912. Extended to create (The Palestinian Arab Brotherhood Society) in 1932. The (Palestinian Arab Scout Association) was established in 1945 in Jerusalem as a result of the Palestinian Youth Conference. The General Authority for Scouts and Guides was established in Gaza Strip upon the military Governor’s decision. Palestinian Boy scouts & Girl guides Association in 1970 by a PLO decision- Brief -* The Palestinian Scout movement is a Non Political, independent, voluntary and educational association, based on: High principles and values of international scouts and guides movement.* It is the main, united and legal representative of all scout and guides in Palestine and diaspora. In Palestine, we work to achieve our goals according to the policy of the highest council of youth and sports, and the state of Palestine.* It is a national association with a legal system that determines its goals. The association is a full active member in the Arab Scout Organization.* Also, it is an observer member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), and it aims at getting a full membership in the near future.
