Piera 1899

Beginning in 1899, on the estate in Padua - in the Veneto region of Italy, Piera's story has been passed down in the family from generation to generation, from father to daughter, unusual characters taking turns to break new frontiers again and again. With its pioneering and avant-garde spirit, the winery has won with talent its primary role in the Italian wine scene, often anticipating trends and seeking its own path to quality, beyond fashions. Beginning in the 1990s, extensive work was done on the revaluation of then little-known native grape varieties, such as Raboso del Piave and Ribolla Gialla. Since the 1990s the constantly growing Prosecco production has been supplemented by new sparkling wines such as Muller Thurgau and Moscato Giallo. In recent years Piera 1899 has consolidated its roots and become a point of reference for the potential of Friuli Grave in Italy and abroad, with a particular presence in the markets of the United States and Northern Europe.
