Podere 29

Twenty-two hectares of completely flat land just 10 km from the sea: Podere29 is basically this and potentially much, much more. The love between this land and the family that runs it was born in the summer of 2003, the hottest summer of the last twenty years. The torrid climate, the difficulty of negotiation, the huge economic investment, and the prospect of an uphill journey for many years to come, do not prevent these people from carrying out a project, from realizing a great dream. But what is the engine of the company? What drives a man to throw himself into such an enterprise? We must start from afar to understand this "healthy madness": first of all the earth, the love of a man for his land, in this case Puglia, a region full of sun, salt, generous and harsh at the same time, a region from which to escape when young and to which to return after having experienced that there is nothing in the world with the same flavor; family, roots, imprinting, a childhood spent in the fields, hours under the sun irrigating, days watching the plants grow, and the satisfaction of a fruit picked and eaten directly from the tree; the desire to leave a mark, a path that future generations can follow and continue to build. Podere29 is us, our family, our present, our future.
