Pogo Park

Pogo Park transforms broken and unused city parks into safe, healthy and magical public spaces for children to play and for the community to gather. To ensure that our parks reflect the hopes and dreams of the community, Pogo Park hires, trains, and empowers local residents living in inner-city neighborhoods (many of whom are unemployed, idle, and marginalized) to be full participants in the design and build process. We compliment the physical transformation of these parks with on-site staffing, activities, and resources for children such as after-school tutoring, chess club, and arts and crafts. Through enriched children’s play and close partnership with the community, Pogo Park sparks and fosters the healthy development of local children and residents alike.
