Ponch

Ponch was founded by Sophie Mollison and Alexander Edwards. Moving from Australia to the UK, we had to learn to love the unpredictable weather. The idea for Ponch was sparked by inconvenience: Sophie was forced into an ugly poncho at Glastonbury, Alexander was frustrated by bulky outerwear on a camping trip. Classic silhouettes enhanced with functional details for unpredictable weather and unexpected treks. Each Ponch design is waterproof, breathable and can be quickly packed into itself. Each collection is designed with purpose, and produced in limited quantities. We believe that creativity thrives through collaboration. Each season we work with different artists, printmakers, illustrators and creative thinkers, to design limited-edition prints. Ponch is a catalyst — and ulterior motive — to work with the artists we admire. We are continually pushing to do better. Our fabrics are made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic bottles, which are certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). Our manufacturing partner has a WRAP certification; they are audited to ensure that they operate in a safe, responsible and ethical way. Our Australian roots mean we have a lifelong love of the sea. Now based in Margate, every day we see plastic pollution wash ashore — we are committed to fight the systems that promote this tide of trash. We welcome you to #packaponch.
