Potter Counseling & Consulting

Potter Counseling & Consulting, PLLC was founded in 2016 by Erik Potter for the purpose of providing evidence-based mental health services for adults, children, adolescents and couples. We affirm the dignity and worth of each individual and acknowledge that our clients’ most significant concerns are often intertwined with critical social, economic, cultural, emotional, spiritual or physical issues. We strive to care for our clients holistically and are aware that we are but one small piece of the puzzle of our clients’ lives. Since 2016, our practice has grown to be a collaboration of clinicians from a variety of educational backgrounds, personalities, and professional interests. We draw from many therapeutic approaches, including Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy, among others. All of our clinicians are trauma-informed and rooted in evidenced-based practices, which are interventions for which there is scientific evidence consistently showing that they improve client outcomes.
