Prague Philharmonia

Prague Philharmonia was founded in 1994 on the initiative of conductor Jiří Bělohlávek. Today, it is one of the most respected not only Czech but also international orchestras. Since the beginning of the 2015/16 season, the music director and chief conductor is French conductor Emmanuel Villaume. The orchestra has novelty, energy and perfectionism inscribed in its roots, as well as a love for the music it performs at each concert. The orchestra is appreciated for its characteristic sound and its spirit, which today combines generations of experienced and excellent players with talented, young artists.
