Metronome Festival Prague
Metronome Festival Prague is the first major music festival held in Prague that now invites visitors to its 4th year. Its specifics include focus on all age and genre groups, emphasis on the latest music trends, and the best of the past. The dramaturges pay great attention to choosing domestic performers who usually come with a programme unique to the festival. Besides quality programme addressing a broad audience, the promoters support also visitor comfort represented by quality open air stages and covered stages, enough seats, good choice of food and refreshments, high-capacity wi-fi, and since 2018 also cashless direct debit payment system enabling safe payments, shorter queues, or quicker check-in. This year the festival is ready to increase these standards to a higher level. Over the years of its existence, Metronome Festival Prague had seen stars such as Iggy Pop, Foals, Sting, Chemical Brothers, Kasabian, Tom Odell, Ella Eyre, David Byrne, John Cale, or Massive Attack. Collegium 1704 & Collegium Vocale 1704 prague baroque orchestra & vocal ensemble Conductor and harpsichordist Václav Luks founded Collegium 1704 together with colleagues, musicians specialising in early music, with a vision to discover the treasures of Baroque music for a contemporary audience. The fact that this vision is coming true is evidenced by the warm response of listeners and music reviewers around the world. Collegium 1704 plays Baroque, Classical and Romantic repertoire on period instruments. Together with the vocal ensemble Collegium Vocale 1704, the ensemble gives concerts in the main season at the Rudolfinum and Dresden, a chamber concert series at the Vzlet Cultural Centre, and performs baroque and classical operas in collaboration with prestigious theatres. In addition, both Collegia are regularly invited to major European music festivals. Prague Philharmonia
Prague Philharmonia was founded in 1994 on the initiative of conductor Jiří Bělohlávek. Today, it is one of the most respected not only Czech but also international orchestras. Since the beginning of the 2015/16 season, the music director and chief conductor is French conductor Emmanuel Villaume. The orchestra has novelty, energy and perfectionism inscribed in its roots, as well as a love for the music it performs at each concert. The orchestra is appreciated for its characteristic sound and its spirit, which today combines generations of experienced and excellent players with talented, young artists.

Supraphon, A.S
Supraphon is the most significant Czech record label, and has a distinguished history. The Supraphon name,(originally used for an electric record player, a technical marvel of its day), was first registered as a trademark in 1932. In the post-war years it was the label of domestic albums produced for export, playing a significant role in helping to spread the fame of Czech classical music recordings during the 1930´s and 40´s. The artistic direction of the firm gave rise to a broad catalog of titles which systematically mapped out the works of Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, and Leos Janáček, as well as other giants of both the Czech and the international music worlds. Significant domestic and foreign soloists, chamber ensembles, orchestras and conductors all contributed to its remarkable collection of recordings. The Supraphon catalogue is continually expanding, adding new recordings by the best Czech artists as well as digitally remastered re-editions of historic recordings, primarily in the popular SUPRAPHON ARCHIVE series. The Ančerl Gold series (42 CD´s) has been extraordinarily well received worldwide, and the first albums of a further series, the Talich Special Edition (17 CD´s planned for 2005-07), were released in June of 2005. The spoken word also forms an integral part of Supraphon´s production. In the last few years Supraphon has been the unchallenged domestic leader in this field, thanks in particular to its outstanding children´s albums (including fairytales and the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theater) and its rereleases of classic Czech titles from the archive (including Voskovec and Werich). Today, Supraphon is the only former Eastern Bloc music publisher which has maintained its number one position in its domestic market as well as measured up successfully to the ever more competitive international environment-

Annual event presenting current trends in music, art and visual culture started in 2006.
