The Prenostik My Learning Coach (MLC) is an AI-powered learning coach software application. It acts as a copilot and bridge to in-person assistance referrals during a student’s education journey. It delivers real-time, actionable guidance to improve higher education student engagement, graduation rates, and future workforce development in the age of AI. Using regular student State of Mind (SOM) check-ins and activities data from sources such as the Learning Management System (LMS), MLC can first detect each student’s unique learning motivation and behavior challenges during the academic term, such as lacking a sense of belonging and procrastination, in the context of their academic and non-academic life constraints. Then, the MLC’s AI and Large Language Model chatbot provides personalized interventions, such as automated nudges and proactive referrals to in-person support as needed. Coaching students to learn how to learn more effectively fosters a growth mindset, resilience, and agency that will help them become successful lifelong learners to meet future workforce demands.
