We started our business in 2014, when Prime Energy Ltd. pioneered into Rwanda’s nascent private power generation industry. We strive to fulfill the needs of our associates, business partners and society at large. OUR PROJECTS Prime Energy is focused in the development, operation, maintenance and management of energy production power plants, in distribution and in sub-station in Africa. Our existing plants of ~6.2 MW produce at near almost capacity and within the next 2-3 years, we plan to have close to 20 MW in energy production, and be among one of the largest Independent Power Producers(IPP) in the region. OUR POWER PLANTS Mukungwa II SHPP - 2.5 MW Gisenyi SHPP - 1.2 MW Gashashi SHPP - 0.2 MW Rukarara II - 2.2 MW UNDER DEVELOPMENT Rukarara VI SHPP is one of our run of river hydro plant projects expected to be commissioned in 2020. It will produce approximately 9.7 MW.
