Progga

PROGGA (Knowledge for Progress) is a Bangladesh-based non-profit organization for research, advocacy, communication, campaign and capacity building. Established on 28 January 2008 with the mission of creating and redefining knowledge for progressive application, PROGGA's area of activities encompasses different aspects of public health (including tobacco control, hypertension control, and elimination of trans-fat in food items, etc.), livelihood, poverty, and environment. PROGGA has been a pioneer in reshaping the contours of anti-tobacco and pro-public health activism in Bangladesh since its inception. In Bengali, the word PROGGA means wisdom, the decision-making and reasoning skills as well as intuition one earns through knowledge and experiences. Much like its name, PROGGA aims at fusing the tradition with innovation and utilize the outcome for the better grasp of its surrounding and charting the way forward.
