Project Diaspora

Project Diaspora - on a mission to create a meaningful, sustainable, and auspicious future for the underrepresented people of Africa (and beyond). We are doing this by connecting and unifying the African diaspora with its long-lost cousins, as well as providing educational resources and leading community-centred projects with the end goal of developing African people, and in turn, their communities. Project Diaspora is a non-profit organisation conceived in Oxford and nurtured by young(ish) people of Afro-Caribbean descent. The idea was born from our wish to rediscover our cultural identity, connect with our forefathers and rebuild our forgotten civilizations. We understand that Mother Africa can repair our broken links, and we (the children of the diaspora) can respond in kind by providing infrastructure and resources that were obtained in our absence. We have compassionate and charitable souls but are anxious to do more than merely donate money. We want to build, connect and manage relationships with the communities and nations we came from.
