Help For Heroes
At Help for Heroes, we believe those who serve our country deserve support when they’re wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds; their lives changed forever. We help them, and those still serving, to recover and get on with their lives. We give them physical, psychological, financial and welfare support for as long as they need it. We also support their families, because they too can be affected by their loved one’s wounds. We receive almost no funding from the Government, which means we rely on the spirit and generosity of the great British public, our partners and volunteers to keep going. Rest assured, we continue to put pressure on the Government to do more. So far, with your help, more than people have been supported, but we know that many more still need us. We won’t stop until every wounded veteran gets the support they deserve. Kidney Research Uk
Kidney Research UK is the largest UK charity dedicated to research into the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease. Kidney Research UK also dedicates its work to improving patient care and raising awareness of kidney disease. Over three million lives in the UK are threatened by chronic kidney disease and it can strike anyone at any age, male or female. This is why Kidney Research UK is dedicated to improving the understanding of kidney disease, its causes and treatments. The only treatments available to patients are a transplant, in which there is a huge shortage of available organ donors, or a life on dialysis, a life sustaining treatment - but which can severely restrict daily life. The charity is making important scientific breakthroughs all the time and medical researchers are constantly developing improvements in treatments. However, we can only currently fund one in five research projects presented to us and scientific advances can only be sustained, and improved, if we succeed in raising our income and for that we need your help.

Railway Children
Railway Children exists for children at risk of abuse and exploitation on streets and at transport hubs. Having run away or been forced to leave homes filled with poverty, violence, abuse or neglect, these children find themselves on the streets because there is nowhere else to go and no one left to turn to. But the problems they face on the streets are often far worse than what they have left behind. Every day, across the UK, India and Tanzania, we aim to reach vulnerable children as soon as they arrive on the streets, before they come to harm. After meeting their immediate needs, we then work with children to change their stories – providing the support they and their families need for as long as it takes to build the brighter future they deserve.
