Project Mars Americorps
Our Mission at Project MARS is to address student needs behaviorally, attitudinally, and academically. Serving 18 Counties throughout Western North Carolina, school Engagement coordinators provide social-emotional support as a mentor through Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Members assist academically in the classroom in critical areas of need through 1-1 support and small group settings. Team members will provide support to their school site by addressing any additional means including recruiting mentors, bringing in volunteers, and coordinating resources.
