During my career as a police officer, I have responded to numerous motorcycle accidents by both experienced and inexperienced riders. Most of these accidents were rider error. After observing riders who lack total control and confidence during low speed maneuvers, turn negotiation and improper braking, I became passionate about teaching police motorcycle techniques not only to police officers, but to all motorcycle riders. In 2014, I opened ProRider Pittsburgh LLC. ProRider is an advanced accredited course taught by certified police motor officers and civilians who passed the ProRider Instructor certification test. The ProRider curriculum is modeled after the 80hr police motorcycle course which covers extremely tight turns, the most effective emergency braking techniques, and the ultimate crash avoidance skills. We are committed to expanding and opening additional schools so all riders across the country have the opportunity to take this unique training.
