Put A Sock In It was inspired by Alfie Green from Leeds. Alfie, aged 10, became really aware of homelessness during a trip to Manchester on 2018."I created the group after I gave a sandwich to a homeless woman and she was so happy. It inspired me and my dad to find a way to donate to homeless men and women" With the help of Alfie's dad, Put A Sock In It was created as way to gather clothing, food and any other useful items to be distributed to the homeless in Leeds. We accept all donations, however big or small, even something as small as a pair of socks can make a huge change to someone in need. Since the initial idea, Put A Sock In It has partnered with St George's Crypt - A charity in the City of Leeds, working with the homeless, the vulnerable and those suffering from addiction.
