Quarteto Arabesco

Quarteto Arabesco is a pioneering Portuguese string quartet. It has an original approach of varied repertoire, having available a wide range of concert proposals. On period instruments, it is devoted to historically informed interpretations of Baroque and Classical music. On modern instruments, it covers a varied repertoire of Portuguese music of the 20th and 21st Centuries, from fado and jazz to contemporary music. Since its premiere in 2006, has performed more than 140 concerts in the major music festivals and concert halls of Portugal, Italy and Spain, as well as for the radio and numerous recordings, collaborating with notable soloists and ensembles.
