Re Generating Panjab

RE:Generating Panjab is a farmer-led, woman-centered, youth-powered Bioregional movement working to regenerate Panjab’s land, water, culture, and futures. Panjab stands at a critical ecological and social crossroads. Decades of extractive agriculture, groundwater depletion, and soil degradation have converged with deep farmer distress and community vulnerability. These challenges are interconnected and cannot be solved in isolation. Rooted in Panjab as a living bioregion, we work across soil, water, culture, and governance to restore ecosystems while strengthening livelihoods, dignity, and long-term resilience. Our work is guided by a simple frame: SOIL — restoring living ecosystems SOUL — reweaving culture, dignity, and community SOVEREIGNTY — enabling locally led futures VISION A Panjab where soil is alive, rivers run free, and communities thrive in Chardi Kala — the ever-rising spirit. A Land of Five Rivers reawakened, where farmers, women, and youth steward land, water, and culture with care; where economies honour right livelihood and sacred sharing; and where governance listens first to Earth and people. MISSION We regenerate Panjab’s land and waters, reweave culture and community, and walk alongside farmers, women, and youth to build locally sovereign, circular, and life-affirming economies — grounded in sacred ecology, community stewardship, and place-based systems change. HOW WE WORK — FOUR PILLARS Soil & Food — regenerative agriculture, seeds, livelihoods Water & Ecology — rivers, groundwater, resilience Culture & Community — Sikh ecological wisdom, learning circles, crafts & livelihoods Governance & Systems — place-based, locally sovereign systems Join the movement: https://forms.gle/rMCTbLkXh2iMbbk49 RE:Generating Panjab is a bioregional expression within the wider RE:Generating India field of practice, contributing place-based learning to a larger national regenerative transition.
