The City of Rhodes is a popular international tourist destination. Rhodes’s development strategy is primarily based on the promotion of the sustainable development in the area. For this purpose, the municipality is actively engaged in the HABITAT Agenda as well as Local Agenda 21. Rhodes municipality has participated in a number of projects within the framework of Community programmes and initiatives.
