Gavin, Gang Wang is a partner in Run Ming Law Office, one law firm based in Beijing and having an office in Shanghai. Gavin’s practices focus on debt financing, asset financing and leasing and related contentious matters. In addition, he is quite familiar with aviation law and regulatory matters and provides advice on equity investment into China as well. Gavin has extensive experience of aircraft, aircraft engine and electric equipment financing and leasing related work. He has acted for airlines, aircraft manufacturers, banks, underwriters, leasing companies in relation to cross-border and domestic transactions, including limited recourse financing, PDP financing, bonded leasing, transfer of lease receivables, sale and leasebacks, finance leases and operating leases. Gavin has acted in various cross-border and domestic financing transactions in respect of electricity generation, real estate development, petroleum and chemical refinement, non-ferrous smelting, packaging and paper making, including bilateral and syndicated lending, secured transactions, trade financing and project financing. Gavin has represented foreign and Chinese clients on dispute resolution regarding lending, aircraft leasing, goods supplying, non-performing loans, including amicable negotiation, arbitration and litigation in China. He provides bankruptcy, contentious restructuring and asset repossession advice as well. Before founding Run Ming Law Office with his partners, Gavin ever worked in China Eastern Airlines for three-plus years and Junyi Law Office for more than five years. Gavin has delivered some speeches on aviation law and asset financing, and he has published several articles on financing. Gavin received his LLB degree at Peking University in 1998.
