Safe Surroundings equips youth service professionals with resources and training to maintain safe work environments and protect themselves against those they aim to serve while minimizing harm done to others. Through research and past professional experience, the founders of Safe Surroundings saw alarming issues with youth service professionals' safety. There are many policies and protocols in place to protect youth (as there should be), but when it comes to protecting those who serve the youth, training is limited and youth service professionals are left to figure things out on their own. This often leaves youth service professionals vulnerable and unprepared to deal with dangerous crisis situations. Safe Surroundings is a security training and consulting firm specializing in building and maintaining safe and secure work (or volunteer) environments for youth service professionals. We believe your safety also matters. Our area of specialization covers any and all youth service professionals from probation counselors at juvenile detention centers to teachers to youth therapists to group home staff, etc. Our mission is to equip youth service professionals with the resources and training necessary to maintain safe work environments and protect themselves against those they aim to serve, while minimizing harm done to others.
