Sartarelli

The Sartarelli company is one of the few Italian wineries which focuses exclusively on a single varietal production in this case Verdicchio. Our winery and offices are built around our century-old country house. It is located in Poggio San Marcello which is the smallest village in the province of Ancona, a precious gem surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills of the Marche region. The company is situated 350 meters above sea level, on the left of the Esino River, which is the historically traditional area where the wine d.o.c. “Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi” is produced. Some of our oldest vineyards are located in the districts of Coste del Molino, Tralivio, Balciana and gently line the distinctive hill slopes of the area. 55 hectares of vines and 6 hectares of olive trees, thousands of trees which dot ‘l Poggio and which make it a unique natural sight. Our roots, the values in which we believe and our emotional attachments are here. This is the land where we have been brought up, where our company and our family have grown. For this reason, we cannot talk about us without mentioning the places where we were born, that environment which still influences us so deeply and makes us proud to say: “We are from here”. The efforts of our work are contained in in the 5 wines produced by us- “Sartarelli Brut” (a sparkling wine made of 100% Verdicchio)- “Sartarelli Classico” (Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi d.o.c. Classico)- “Tralivio” (Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi d.o.c. Classico Superiore)- “Balciana” (Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi d.o.c. Classico Superiore)- “Sartarelli Passito” (Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi d.o.c. Passito).
