Sauti Afrika

Sauti Afrika is a youth focused organization that seeks to empower youth in Kenya and across Africa as the foundation for sustainable development. We aim to empower the youth through innovative ways by using art as a tool of integrated right-based approach in Health, Education, Economic Empowerment and Leadership and Governance. Sauti Afrika was established in 2016 with the aim of empowering Kenyan youth in the informal settlement through use of art as a tool of strategic empowerment for sustainable development. We do this by incorporating innovative ways using integrated right-based approaches in Health, Education, Economic Empowerment and Leadership and Governance. Through Sauti Afrika, we have been able to work closely with the government as we implement evidence-based adolescents and youth programs in over 65 institutions of learning (Primary, Secondary and Higher learning institutions) across Mukuru slums in Nairobi, Kenya. We utilize a multi-sectoral approach, Quadra Helix development approach (which brings together Government, Private sector, Academia and Civil society) to foster innovative and sustainable transformation in communities we operate in. Our response has allowed for implementation of programs in Mental and Sexual Health, Education, Economic Empowerment and Leadership and Governance Sectors.
