Schengen Peace Foundation
The Schengen Peace Foundation was initiated in 2005 and approved as a not-for-profit charity by His Royal Highness Henri the Grand Duke of Luxembourg on Oct 19th, 2007. From a small, yet international group of scholars, researchers, artists, politicians and citizens the World Peace Forum was born in 2006. Since, it has developed into a global platform for peace activists and initiatives. Every edition is dedicated to a particular theme for discussion, which have included Conflict Resolution, Connecting Peace-Makers, and Women, Stability & Peace, and with the 15th edition in 2023 in Barcelona « Quo Vadis ». In 2012, the Luxembourg Peace Prize was established as a way to award outstanding Peacemakers in various categories.
