Graine de Vie is a non-profit organisation created in Belgium in 2009 and Luxembourg in 2012. Our mission is to promote environmental conservation and combat deforestation in Africa through tree planting initiatives supported by local communities. We are dedicated to fostering a greener, healthier planet by planting and nurturing trees, engaging communities, and advocating for sustainable practices. Through our collaborative efforts, we aim to restore ecosystems, improve air and water quality, and enhance the quality of life for current and future generations. We do it by safeguarding local communities’ engagement in reforestation resulting in improvements of their livelihood and their commitment to preserve long term sustainability of African forests. We engage with individuals, companies and philanthropic organisations who sponsor forest protection, reforestation, and humanitarian projects in Africa. Our business model enables us to invest all donations in tree planting projects in Madagascar, Togo, Benin, Ghana, RDC and Cameroun. Our staff in Europe is made up exclusively of volunteers. In Africa, we work actively with local communities and governments involving them in our cause therefore creating large stakeholder communities to support our projects. Our organisation provides work to thousands of villagers thus helping reduce rampant poverty. Further, Graine de Vie organises on-going activities to raise awareness of hundreds of thousands of people about the need to protect and restore forests to ensure a better future for humanity.

L'Association Luxembourg Alzheimer, en abrégé ala, est un réseau d'aide et de soins spécialisé dans la prise en charge des personnes atteintes de démence. Depuis sa création en 1987, l'ala s'engage à l'échelle nationale et internationale pour défendre les intérêts des personnes souffrant de démence et de leurs proches. Ses différentes structures de prise en charge (6 foyers de jour et 1 maison de séjour et de soins) lui permettent d'offrir aux personnes touchées par la maladie toutes les prestations prévues par l'assurance dépendance aux quatre coins du pays. En sa qualité d'association, l'ala offre, en outre, de nombreux autres services d'aide et d'assistance qui vont au-delà des prestations prévues par l'assurance dépendance. Les objectifs de l'ala L'objectif prioritaire de l'ala est d'améliorer la qualité de vie des personnes atteintes de démence et de leurs proches. Pour y parvenir, nous nous engageons à plusieurs niveaux : • sensibiliser la population à la démence, • collaborer avec les instances publiques et politiques, les institutions sociales et médicales ainsi que les employés du secteur de la santé, • créer des foyers de jour supplémentaires et développer de nouvelles structures de soins et de prise en charge pour les personnes atteintes de démence, • revaloriser et souligner l'importance de la prise en charge à domicile et des services de soins, • augmenter le nombre de places en maison de soins pour des séjours à long et à court terme, • mettre en place une formation approfondie essentiellement axée sur la démence pour les professionnels de la santé, • développer des groupes d'entraide et de conseil pour les familles, • améliorer globalement les conditions de vie de toutes les personnes touchées dans notre pays. Nos services de conseil, d'accompagnement et de prise en charge ciblés d'une part et nos offres de formation et de sensibilisation d'autre part soutiennent nos efforts en ce sens.

Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner Help For Children With Cancer

For 35 years, the ‘Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner’ has been accompanying children fighting cancer and their families. The foundation has three main missions- Help to improve the physical and psychological condition of the child and his family. Its multidisciplinary team offers an individual care from the diagnosis all the way to the remission, including assistance with the administrative and financial aspects, psycho-social support as well as educational, therapeutic and recreational activities. Three establishments are run by the foundation in order to offer the best possible access to this support: ‘La Maison des Enfants’ in Luxembourg hosting all activities and administrative assistance, ‘La Maison Losch’ in Brussels offering a temporary shelter for the parents whose children are being treated at one of the main cancer treatment Centers and finally ‘L’Appartement de Convalescence’ on the Belgian coast allowing the families to retreat and to recuperate in the immediate proximity to the sea- Raise awareness of childhood cancer and defend the children’s rights by participating actively in working groups or initiating meetings with decision-makers- Support actively onco-paediatric research by funding selected projects with one main goal: increase the cure rate and the quality of life for survivors. The foundation is exclusively funded by donations and invests any available funds into their three missions. Every year, an external audit is done in order to guarantee total financial transparency. The Foundation is also founding member of 'Don en Confiance Luxembourg'.
