School Culture Solutions

School Culture Solutions exists to train educators and provide ongoing support to schools in implementing Restorative Practices. We focus on the following elements of school culture- Building strong communities inside classrooms and throughout schools, making social connectedness and relationships of mutual trust and respect the foundation of a school's culture - Using restorative practices to heal from inevitable conflicts and to repair harm comprehensively and equitably- Providing alternatives to outdated, exclusionary punishments such as Out-of-School Suspension and Expulsion. Victims' needs are first met and offenders develop empathy by deeply exploring the impact of their actions and taking steps to make things right- Guiding schools toward eliminating the extreme racial disproportionality that currently pervades school discipline in order to dismantle the School to Prison Pipeline - Supporting the self-care and mental wellness of educators, students, and family members by teaching trauma-informed pedagogy and techniques to eliminate stress, manage emotions, and lead healthy, joyful lives
