Sea Star Seafood Corporation was established in 1983 with the mission of becoming the “premier provider of case ready seafood solutions to retail customers nationally”. When the company was founded, the retail seafood industry consisted primarily of fresh fish counters and frozen block fish offerings. Recognizing our customers' need for self-service frozen seafood, Sea Star initiated the development of a product line and production capability that today has made us an industry leader and the major USA producer of case ready frozen seafood products. Sea Star Seafood operates a state-of-the-art, HACCP-approved, USDC-certified facility with the capability to process, package and distribute frozen fish, shellfish, and value-added seafood in case ready packages that include Tray Pack Vacuum (TPV), Tray Pack Refresh, Individual Vacuum Packed (IVP), Individually Quick Frozen (IQF), and bulk. Our vacuum packaging and tray pack capabilities keep frozen fish fresher throughout the distribution process.
