Seattle Voice Academy

Seattle Voice Academy (SVA) is an online voice school dedicated to teaching voiceover, singing and vocal health. We are ethical, professional, and incredibly fun working professionals who want to share our knowledge. Instructors at SVA are working talent. We know what’s going on in the field (which changes rapidly) and we are in the middle of all of it – right now. What does SVA provide? We teach beginners. Really well. We also offer continuing education for commercial, eLearning, video game, animation, audiobook, and other specialties. Our job is to teach new students about the VO community (and how to provide great voiceover services) – so that students will know about the industry, how to find work and how to support each other. We teach technique, editing, home studios, demo prep, how to find work and more. Some programs provide demo reels? Why don’t you? Ethically, we cannot guarantee that someone just entering the voiceover field will be ready for a demo. Voice Acting requires training. And… there are so many different types of demos. Our job is to help students learn what niches in VO make the most sense, provide training and then provide direction to the best demo producers. If a program guarantees a demo, that money is often wasted when the student must record a new demo months later. How do I get started? Check out our website. Most people new to VO will want to start with a 30-minute free meeting to talk about our training. From there the 8-week Beginning VO program is the way to find out what you like to voice. Then, level 2 and advanced courses help you progress. Work at your own pace courses help with home studios, editing and more. Then, when you are ready, SVA can help you find the right demo producer.
