Sentireal® creates software applications to improve scientific education and training. Sentireal's software turns mobile and wearable devices into automated and personalised tutors. By presenting educational media using augmented reality and virtual reality and incorporating continous background assessment of training progress, Sentireal's software applications provide improved learning outcomes and an inherently scalable learning solution. Augmented reality involves overlaying a real-world scene captured by the sensors of a mobile device, for example its cameras and microphones, with computer-generated content including graphics, video, and audio. Virtual reality is a similar concept whereby the computer-generated content completely replaces the real-world scene. Our aims are: To create educational media "on-the-fly" based on the learners current activities and real-world environment To automatically create educational media based on detailed personal aspects of each learner To improve learner understanding of the educational information using augmented reality and virtual reality presentation To automatically and implicitly assess learner progress without obvious examinations or quizzes
