As Norman Vincent Peale said, “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” Our lives are not determined so much by our outward conditions and circumstances. Our world is basically what our thoughts make it to be; thus, our window to the world. Attitudes are thoughts, and attitudes rule our decisions and behaviors. There is overwhelming evidence supporting the premise that success results more from attitudes, than any other single factor. Attitudes are the result of decisions and choices individuals make on a daily basis. It’s been documented that life is 10% what happens to individuals and 90% on how they react to it. Harvard University found that 85% of everything a person accomplishes after university in the way of wealth, position, and status was the result of attitude; only 15% was the result of aptitude and abilities. In other words, an individuals thoughts and attitude, account for performance and progress at least 85% of the time. Successful people make a habit of creating positive expectations in advance of an event. They have developed an attitude of positive self expectancy.
