Shornokishoree Network Foundation

Shornokishoree Network Foundation (SKNF) has established in 2012 for inspiring adolescents for improving health, well beings & development as social change maker organization in Bangladesh. It is the largest adolescent health network of Bangladesh, working through secondary schools in collaboration with Government, other stakeholders, donors and media. SKNF gradually expanded its strategic priorities and coverage throughout the country in 8 divisions, 491 upazilla of all 64 districts and expanding to all 4550 unions level schools of Bangladesh. Our creative strategies to establish secondary school based clubs, training & capacity building, classroom based health education, peer education at community for non-school going adolescents, community mobilization for addressing barriers, advocacy for supporting policy, programs and utilization of ICT and TV media for reaching the millions of target population for making contribution to national plan and the SDG's. Currently SKNF operating approx. clubs with various activities and will be reaching 36 million of adolescent population. The Key focus areas are promoting comprehensive adolescent health, nutrition, sexual & reproductive health, personal hygiene including menstrual hygiene, mental health, prevention of child marriage and empowerment for leadership development among adolescents through providing accurate information for improvement of knowledge and practices, advocacy for supporting programs & policies, community mobilization & social movement, partnership and researches for measuring success for sustainable impact Key Strategies: Involve Adolescents Boys and Girls through SK clubs at school Provide comprehensive, accurate and age specific information for behavior change Address barriers at school, community through sharing and exchange of information and healthy practices Utilize mass media, digital media including mobile communication, social media, online platform empowerment of adolescents.
