With over 20 years of experience, the Signal Processing Laboratory at ICS-FORTH is at the cutting edge of signal processing research, advancing both theory and applications. Our work focuses on image, audio, and speech signal processing, as well as learning theory, building on strong foundations such as non-Gaussian statistics, sinusoidal modeling, sparse representations, and compressed sensing. We strive to apply state-of-the-art methods to real-world challenges, across diverse domains including: Imaging and video coding Distributed signal and data management over sensor networks Immersive audio and multichannel audio coding Speech recognition and enhancement Our goal is to push the boundaries of what is possible in signal processing and deliver high-impact, innovative solutions.
