Sitem-Insel School

The Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine in Bern – sitem-insel – has been created to establish, operate, and develop a national center of excellence for translational medicine. In partnership with the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern, the sitem-insel School provides leading education programs in translational medicine through the sitem Center. Our mission is to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and promote innovative thinking for effective and efficient transfer of scientific innovation into therapeutic products to the benefit of patients and society. Study programs include: • Translational Medicine and Biomedical Entrepreneurship (TMBE): Aiming to translate scientific discoveries to clinical applications, this program combines scientific, medical and entrepreneurial education. • Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management (RAQM): Offering specialized training, this program equips graduates with comprehensive knowledge of European Medical Device Regulations and quality management. • Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging: Designed for medical doctors, this CAS program imparts necessary skills to take a leading role in the AI driven transformation in medical imaging.
