In school they taught you how to "talk science" and "do science," but they never taught you how to "write science." After sixteen years as a chemist and five years as a chemistry teacher, one passion kept sneaking up on me - to write, to write well, and to help others do the same. Science writing isn't easy for most of us, yet thanks to three fabulous grammar teachers and many, many writing courses, I've found that writing is what comes naturally.
