About SNDAfrica SNDAfrica is an award-winning, community-rooted organisation advancing resilience, peace, and inclusive development across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs) and the southern plains of Ethiopia. We work in fragile, underserved regions of Eastern Africa where conflict, climate shocks, and underdevelopment converge. Our integrated Humanitarian–Peace–Development (HDP) Nexus model combines lifesaving response, peacebuilding, and long-term development—ensuring that emergency relief evolves into sustainable impact. Our Vision: A society where all pastoralist communities are resilient and live dignified lives. Our Mission: To empower and transform pastoralist communities to become self-reliant. SNDAfrica delivers multi-sectoral programmes grounded in community leadership, localisation, and accountability. We partner with governments, IGAD, UN agencies, donors, INGOs, and grassroots actors. Our funding partners include USAID, SIDA, DANIDA, BMZ, the EU, and private foundations committed to locally led development.
