Soft Landing

Soft Landing Mattress Recycling is Australia’s largest mattress recycler, operating across five sites nationally. In the last five years, we’ve recycled over 2.3 million mattresses – and counting. We’re a certified not-for-profit social enterprise, registered charity and ABSC Approved Recycler, committed to delivering real social and environmental outcomes. Our recycling method- Prioritises higher-value resource recovery through careful, manual dismantling – achieving up to a 70% reuse and recycling rate for mattress materials, while maximising landfill diversion- Supports the circular economy by keeping valuable materials like steel, foam and timber in use and reducing the need for virgin resources- Creates meaningful employment for people facing complex barriers to work – with approximately 75% of our team joining us while experiencing disadvantage. For every 23 mattresses we collect and recycle each day, we create a job for someone who really needs one.
