Solarbiotec

Solar Biotechnology, founded in 2011, aims to simplify complex systems in healthcare by redesigning them by a multidisciplinary approach. To develop microfluidic IVD devices, its setup is supported by the Technological Innovation Capital Support program of Ministry of Science, Technology and Industry of Turkey. Being located in the Technology Development Region of Dokuz Eylül University, the main vision of SOLAR is to apply the results of scientific studies to industry. Recruiting a team of scientists and engineers, the company performs research and experimental development studies on biotechnology and life sciences. Solar biotec merged Genoma Medical Technologies, which has expertise in robotic applications for laboratory instruments in 2014, to gain know-how on instrumentation for conventional scale liquid handling. With its new structure, Solar continues to develop new generation medical instruments, all ongoing projects are granted by Scientific Technological Research Council of Turkey, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization and Ministry of Science, Technology and Industry of Turkey.
