South East Dance

South East Dance is an Arts Council England-funded charity championing bold, diverse dance across the region since 1997, and making dance accessible to every body from our sustainable, contemporary home The Dance Space. What We Do: • Artist Development: Funding, mentoring, and career support for dance professionals • Community Engagement: Classes and events for people discovering dance for the first time • Facilities: Studio and meeting room hire and performance opportunities at The Dance Space, Brighton & Hove's first purpose-built home for dance in the heart of the city’s cultural quarter. • Advocacy: Working regionally, nationally, and internationally as part of the UK Dance Network Our Mission: Our mission is to make dance happen for every body. Dance that is bold and diverse. Dance that helps us make sense of the world we live in. Dance that makes a difference. We will support people to discover their own relationship with dance, working with them to create the kind of activities they want. We will work with artists who are committed to taking creative risks, pushing boundaries and challenging perceptions of what dance is and can be.
