Spoons Charity

Spoons is a neonatal family support charity based in Greater Manchester. We support parents and families through the emotional and practical challenges of neonatal care from admission to the neonatal unit, through discharge, and into life at home and beyond. Our work is rooted in lived experience. Every part of the support is developed and delivered alongside parents who have lived experience of neonatal care. We focus on supporting families with the ongoing impact neonatal care has on the whole family. What we do: • Peer support from trained parents with lived experience • Trauma informed therapy • Community groups, play sessions, and home based support • Support for siblings and wider family networks • Parent voice and co-production influencing neonatal services and system improvement We work in partnership with NHS teams across Greater Manchester to ensure that neonatal care is compassionate, responsive and built around what families actually need.
