Stiftelsen Polaria

Polaria is an Arctic aquarium and experience centre located in the heart of Tromsø. If you are curious about how animals, fish, plants and people are living together side by side, Polaria is the perfect place to experience and understand life in the Arctic. Here you will meet bearded seals and harbour seals, catfish, and tiny sharks, and you will get to know the different species that move across the ocean floor. Polaria’s mission is to showcase the research done in the Arctic and sub-Arctic regions. Through knowledge-based exhibitions made in collaboration with scientists from the Fram - High North Research Centre for Climate and the Environment, Polaria will mirror some of the research that takes place in the Arctic.
