Studio SSA, helmed by Architect Samir Shah (previously a partner at KSA Design Planning Services P. Ltd.) is a spatial design practice based in Ahmedabad, India & Vancouver,Canada. The studio focuses on developing built spaces across a wide spectrum of programs, scale and complexities: urban development, housing, healthcare, institutions, post disaster rehabilitation, residential and recreational programs. The projects at KSADPS were spread across 12 states in India, along with projects in Bangladesh, Srilanka and Afghanistan. Studio SSA offers services in architectural design, urban design, interior and furniture design, along with undertaking project planning and development in a user-centric and democratic manner. The versatile body of work helmed by the studio reflects the principal’s ethos and commitment towards developing socially adaptive and ecologically sensitive spaces that become timeless and relevant through the ever changing socio-political landscape. We are a hands-on studio finding the “joy in making”: through sketches, models, 3D visualization, and most importantly : dialog. We strive to design holistically, often blurring the boundaries between the disciplines of urban, architecture, interior design, landscape and furniture.
