Author’s Biography Carol R. Lalla is originally from Long Island, New York but has resided in Florida for more than 20 years. She's lived many places across the country and out of the country. She comes from a very artistic, creative family in painting, music and poetry. In fact, she was offered an art scholarship when she was 17. Due to circumstances at the time, she could not accept it and began a career in business and management. Later, she was largely involved in real estate financing for many years. This is Ms. Lalla’s first children's book. It came quite naturally as she has always been a huge animal lover and the subject matter is close to her heart. She has had many dogs, some of which have been rescued. She felt children would enjoy and learn from this story. Ms. Lalla has always painted part time and accepted many consignments. More recently, however, she has been able to give her longtime passion her full time as she retired from the business world. She's done mural and faux work, portraits of people and animals, sea and landscapes as well as many other creative painting projects. She shows her work online and belongs to galleries at times to exhibit her work. Ms. Lalla has always been a supporter of Animal Rescue Organizations. Her own experience in rescuing her two little dogs years ago inspired the writing and illustrations of “A Wiggles and Wags Tale”. Ms. Lalla wrote a rough draft of this book along with sketches for illustrations in only two nights. It all came to her very quickly and quite naturally. Of course, there would many, many re-writes and sketches and illustrations and had her young niece at the time give her mark of approval. She feels children and their parents could benefit from her experience when considering a pet. Because Ms. Lalla enjoyed writing and illustrating the first Wiggles and Wags Tale so much, she's working on the second and more will follow.
