We select and support individuals and families who want to take on their own physical fundraising challenge to inspire people to donate – acting as a unique (registered charity) crowdfunding platform. Recovery from illness, an accident or managing a chronic condition is a long and winding road. And we know that sometimes there are therapies, equipment and treatments – which can relieve mental or physical illness – that fall outside the remit of what standard healthcare services, like the UK’s NHS, can fund. It can be frustrating to be faced with raising potentially large sums of money off your own back, especially without help or guidance in how to do it. We see this type of fundraising challenge as real opportunity for good. An opportunity to unite families, build communities, create lasting friendships and to inspire thousands of other people along the way. That’s why we set up Superhero Foundation. Our expert support team provide mentoring, planning, logistical, social media and publicity support to enable these heroes in-the-making to move beyond the limits of their physical and mental capability. Come the finish line, not only are the lives of the Superheroes we help changed for good, but also those of the families that the foundation supports.
