You were part of the phone box generation – when you had to soldier on through wind, rain, and snow to arrange your first date, or illegal rave. To you a mobile phone would have been too easy. You’re the hero now – victorious because you’ve made it this far and you’re not ready to give up yet – there’s still life in the old beast yet. You’ve still got the looks, if you squint and you’re still a hit with the ladies – but mostly because you remembered to write that anniversary card, or you didn’t forget to do the pick-up from ballet club.
